Cravia Honours its Outstanding Employees at the Founder’s Awards

The performance of Cravia’s star team members was celebrated at the 2014 Founder’s Awards, which took place at Atlantis, The Palm, on July 13. Around 400 employees attended the event from the group’s head office and from its popular brands, Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Zaatar w Zeit and The Steak Bar.
The ceremony, which ran under The ‘Four Disciplines of Execution’ theme, started with energy and cheering, led by Louay Ghandour, COO of Cravia. He recognised those individuals who have made a difference during the course of their work, whether managers who have increased sales figures, outlet staff who have provided a superior level of service, or delivery riders who have ensured that customer orders have reached their destination quickly and efficiently.
Louay highlighted the achievement of Cravia group in 2014 in terms of sales growth, which reached 20.8% over last year. He outlined new store plans and renovation projects for existing Cinnabon, Zaatar w Zeit and The Steak bar outlets and highlighted new initiatives, such as the WIG Tour, which will be implemented later this year.
Following on from Louay’s opening address, Walid Hajj, CEO of Cravia, expressed his delight that the number of employees within the Cravia Group had reached 1,100 people, a figure he compared to the 37 employees the company had when it commenced its operations in 2001. He then opened the floor for a Q&A session to enable the gathered employees to voice any issues they faced within their workplace.
The event closed with the awards ceremony that recognised the top performers from Cravia’s head office, as well as the star team members from Zaatar w Zeit, Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee and The Steak Bar. High-achieving Zaatar w Zeit staff members received their awards from Mahmoud Harb, Cravia’s Director of Operations, who handed out honours to eight Zaatar w Zeit employees for providing an exceptional standard of service. Six team members from Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee and three from The Steak Bar collected awards, which were given by Marwan Kandeel, Multi-Brand Manager for Cravia.
Last but not least, three employees from Cravia’s head office had their tireless efforts acknowledged at the ceremony, receiving awards for their hard work and commitment. A number of 5-year and 10-year service awards were also presented by Walid Hajj to the company’s longest-serving team members.
Cravia would like to take this opportunity to thank all its hard-working, dedicated and committed team members whose efforts have ensured the company’s impressive list of achievements over the years. We look forward to honouring even more star performers as we move onwards to new heights and even greater levels of success.
