Cravia celebrates another Year of Achievement at the Founder’s Awards with a YES Attitude
Cravia Group has hosted another successful Founder’s Awards Event – the company’s annual occasion which celebrates the company’s successes and all the great efforts achieved by the team over the past year. Around 460 employees from Cravia’s head office and its renowned brands – Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Zaatar w Zeit and The Steak Bar, including representatives from their partner Al Fajr Group attended the event, which was held in the Atlantis Hotel, The Palm on June 8th 2016.
Special recognition was given to Cravia team members who have excelled in their duties, going above and beyond the already high standards that the group has become renowned for. Executive Chairman of Cravia Walid Hajj; Multi-brand Manager Cravia, Marwan Kandeel; and Director of Operations Cravia, Mahmoud Harb, all presented team awards to Cinnabon and Zaatar w Zeit in acknowledgement of their efforts. There was also recognition for employees achieving 5 years’ and 10 years’ service at Cravia.
Cravia’s CEO, Louay Ghandour announced Fajr Capital’s investment in Cravia and that it will support the Company to strengthen its leadership position in the regional food and beverage sector, as well as accelerating its immediate growth plans. He explained how Cravia’s management team will leverage Fajr Capital’s global network to increase the Company’s presence in existing markets, and penetrate new markets such as Bahrain and Qatar.
Louay made a presentation to the team that outlined the company’s results and developments over the past year, highlighting the company’s plans for the future, which included Zaatar w Zeit opening three outlets in the UAE earlier this year, and the upcoming opening of five outlets in KSA. He also revealed the opening of five new Cinnabon outlets in the UAE, and three recently renovated outlets. Additionally, Louay spoke about the expansion of Five Guys in KSA, which will open three new outlets.

The event was concluded by Walid Hajj where he held a Q&A session with the team, during which himself and the management advised employees on how to have an improved and successful work environment.
