Cravia’s Founder’s Awards Event Celebrates the Company’s Successes and Employees
Cravia Group has hosted another successful Founder’s Awards Event – the company’s annual occasion for celebrating its successes and all the great efforts made by the team over the past year. The event was hosted at Atlantis the Palm on 31st May 2017 and welcomed around 400 employees from Cravia’s head office and renowned brands – Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee, Zaatar w Zeit and Five Guys – as well as representatives from the company’s partner Al Fajr Group.
The event saw Cravia’s senior leadership, including Executive Chairman Walid Hajj and CEO Louay Ghandour, honouring the exceptional team members who have gone above and beyond to drive the company’s success and enhance its already outstanding reputation. Team awards were presented to Cinnabon, Seattle’s Best Coffee and Zaatar w Zeit in acknowledgement of their efforts, and employees who have completed five or ten years’ service at Cravia were also recognised for their loyalty.
Cravia’s CEO Louay Ghandour shared the company’s myriad achievements with the team and also provided an update on its plan for the future, which include the opening of new Cinnabon branches in Abu Dhabi – one in Marina Mall, a new outlet in Khaldiyah Mall (second branch), and another to open soon in the World Trade Centre.
Meanwhile, new Dubai outlets for Zaatar w Zeit UAE include Al Hadeel Residence, Mira Town Centre, the Dubai Mall Extension and on The Palm’s Golden Mile. In Riyadh, Cravia has also opened a new Zaatar w Zeit branch in King Abdullah, with a second due to open soon in Al Faisaliyah. New branches will also be opening in Jeddah at the Red Sea Mall and in Dammam.
Five Guys will be expanding into new territory in KSA, with branches due to open at the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah and the Hotel Conrad Makkah in Mecca, and a branch that has already opened in Khobar, while also growing its presence in Riyadh with new branches including one that has already opened at the Boulevard and a second that is due to launch soon in Tahlia. Other new Five Guys outlets will be opening in Qatar at Doha Festival City and the Mall of Qatar, as well as in the Avenues and Al Juffair in Bahrain for the first time.
By the end of 2017, Cravia’s diverse team will include 1,400 employees in the UAE 1,200 employees in KSA, and 100 employees in Qatar. Addressing the team, Louay Ghandour encouraged all of Cravia’s employees to “Get your strengths together and make your weaknesses irrelevant.” As part of his presentation, Mr. Ghandour shared a video about Marcus Buckingham’s book – ‘Stand Out 2.0’ – which is a guide on how employees can assess their strengths, find their edge and win at work. The video served to motivate Cravia’s team and give them tips for strengthening and bettering themselves.
The event was concluded by Walid Hajj with a Q&A session for the team, during which he and the management advised employees on how to foster an enhanced and highly successful work environment.
